Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound of the Bowel: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Masses and Inflammation
After watching this activity, jointly provided with the International Contrast Ultrasound Society (ICUS), you should be able to:
- Assess disease activity in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on the basis of subjective and objective measures of blood flow with contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS);
- Characterize inflammatory masses as phlegmon or abscess on the basis of blood flow; and
- Determine the significance of enhancement of bowel wall masses.
