General Principles of US-Guided Interventions

Learning Objective(s)
After watching this collaborative activity with Andrews Research & Education Foundation, you should be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of ergonomics and probe positioning to optimize diagnosis and treatment interventions;
  • Identify various intervention approaches with regard to in-plane and out-of-plane ultrasound probe views;
  • Describe the best way to locate the injection site and maintain probe sterilization; and
  • Review the advantages of ultrasound-guided injections.
