  • List protocols for ultrasound imaging of plantar 1st metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint and bifurcate ligament;
  • Identify the anatomy and discuss the clinical relevance of 1st MTP plantar capsuloligamentous complex and bifurcate ligament;
  • Identify the normal sonographic appearance of the MTP joint and bifurcate ligament; and
  • Describe injuries and associated sonographic findings associated with the MTP joint and bifurcate ligament.
